What pausing does
Pausing stops your subscription being billed for a set period without ending it. Your account and saved work stay exactly as they are, and your plan picks up where it left off.
You choose one, two, or three months, and that is the number of renewals the pause skips. The month you have already paid for carries on as normal. A one-month pause skips your next renewal, a two-month pause skips the next two, and a three-month pause the next three. Your next payment date is shown when the pause is confirmed. An invoice that was already outstanding when you paused is not cancelled by pausing, so if a payment was already owed it can still be collected.
Your analyses while paused
A monthly allowance comes with a month you have paid for, so no new allowance arrives while billing is stopped.
Anything still unused from your last paid month stays available, so a pause does not take away analyses you have already paid for. When billing resumes, your allowance refreshes in the normal way.
A top-up balance is separate. Top-up analyses are credit rather than allowance, and a pause does not affect them at all.
Which plans can pause
Pausing is available on monthly plans.
It is not available during a trial, because a trial is not being billed yet, and it is not available on annual plans, where a month away from a yearly term changes little. It is also unavailable while you have a plan change scheduled. Cancel the scheduled change first if you want to pause.
When the pause ends
Billing restarts by itself at the end of the period you chose, and you do not need to do anything for that to happen. Your monthly allowance refreshes with the first renewal charged after that, in the normal way.
